What is a borb?
A borb is a nickname for what Urban Dictionary defines as a “fat bird”.
The name borb is likely a blend of bird and orb and is distinct from a birb which is a small, round, and cute bird.
The National Audubon Society writes in their carefully considered rules for identifying borbs:
This perceived fatness isn’t incidental to their appeal but central to it: Where the roundness of the classical birb is merely a component of its appeal, the borb is roundness. Their plush, planetary shapes exert a gravitational pull on our hearts and minds.
