My Story
I started to make art in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to pass the time missing traveling and visiting museums. I work primarily with acrylics and gelli prints creating unique collage art. I was on a break from art when I broke my ankle in a bicycle accident in the summer 2023. Again, stuck at home, I turned to art to ease my anxiety and have a positive focus. This led to these series of birds as I am one year into recovery with more surgeries ahead.
I let the gelli prints speak to me and tell me what kind of bird they want to be. Hover over or tap the image to below to see an example of the papers transforming into the Mountain Bluebird:
A Borb a Day
I work on gelli prints every other day and try to create three to four borbs a week. Be sure to visit often to see who is landing each week!
